Scope of Application
DZ20L series leakage circuit breaker (hereinaften referred to as leakage circuit breaker) is mainly applied to provide protection for power distribution lines of AC50Hz, rated voltage 380V, rated current up to 630A against electrical shock and leakage. It can prevent fire hazard caused by destruction of insulation and earth fault. It can also used to distribute power energy or provide overload & short circuit protection for lines and electrical equipment. Moreover, DZ20L can used for infrequent switching in lines. Besides, derivative products of DZ20L series residual current circuit breaker have leakage alarm function without tripping, which can applied for UPS( uninterruptible power supply).
The products are in conformity with such Standard as GB 14048.2. and IEC60947.2

Ⅳ. Applicable Operation Environment
◆ Ambient temperature: -5℃~+40℃. The average temperature per day should less than 35 degrees Celsius. (For any special requirement over this, please contact the manufacturer) .
◆ Altitude: ≤2000m
◆ The air relative humidity is less than 50% at the highest +40℃ at installation site. Higher RH is allowed at lower temperature. Like the RH can reach to 90% at 25℃. Special measures shall be taken when condensation occurs due to occasional temperature change.
◆ Pollution degree: Class III.
◆ Installation condition
◇ The circuit breaker should be mounted according to installation requirements of operation instruction offered the manufacturer. The upper terminal should be connected with mains side, while the lower terminal with load side.
Besides, the mounting tilt angle against vertical surface should be less than 5°. Ensure, there is no distinct shake and impact at the installation site. The installation should be away from any invasion of rain or snow.
◇ Installation class: Class III
◇ The foreign field value of the mounting location (in all directions) should no more five times than that of geomagnetic field.

◇ rated control supply voltage:AC220V、380V,DC24V、110V、220V。
◆ residual current operating characteristics:
◇ under normal working conditions, residual operating current of the circuit breaker is no more than its rating value, but more than its rated residual non-operating current.
◇ residual current circuit breaker is used as auxiliary power supply for main power. The circuit breaker need to operate normally with the voltage of 0.85~ 1.1Un.
◆ breaking characteristics of over-current tripper:
◇ breaking characteristics of over-current tripper in case of short circuit. (see below table).
◇ breaking characteristics of over-current tripper in case of overload inverse time.
(At +40℃ ambient air temperature, inverse time breaking characteristics of residual current circuit breaker for power distribution when all poles of over-current tripper are energized.)

◆ Internal accessory of RCCB (installed according to users’ requirements)
◇ shunt release
rated control supply voltage: AC50Hz,220V,380V;DC24V. When the voltage is 70%~110% of rated control supply voltage, shunt release tripping.
Note:When voltage value is DC24V, rated current should ≥4.5A.
◇ under-voltage tripper.
When the voltage reduces to 35%~70%,, under-voltage tripper will automate break. When the voltage is less than 35%, the tripper should avoid the closure of circuit breaker. While if the voltage is no less than 85%, the closure of circuit breaker should be ensured.
Rated operating value: AC50Hz,220V、380V。
Note: we can close RCCB only when under-voltage tripper is imposed with rated voltage. Or the RCCB may be damaged.

◆ Structure and operating principle
◇ Structure:
DZ20LRCCB mainly consists of main switch, zero sequence current transformer, PCB, leakage tripper, testing apparatus, etc. All parts are mounted in a plastic enclosure. ◇ Operating principle: Complex tripper(thermal electromagnetic tripper) will complete delay or instantaneous tripping operation to cut off power supply and provide protection for lines and electrical equipment against overload and short circuit. When residual current occurs in lines, reaching to its rated tripping value, secondary winding coil of zero sequence current transformer will output a signal, which will drive the leakage tripper operating and cut off the power supply. So it can provide protection against leakage current and electrical shock.
